TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE
Two birds are being killed by one stone by the City Council in connection with the widening of the dangerous cutting at Plunket street, Kelburn, for the spoil is being utilised to fill in a gully running parallel to Gienmore street (Karori road), just inside the Botanical Gardens fence, so making a start with the long-promised widening of Gienmore street. There is still a good deal of spoil to remove from the cutting, but a great deal more than will be there available will be required to make much impression on the gully. Tho Works Committee has considered several possible plans whereby two birds may be killed again, but finality has not yet been reached.
