MAGISTRATE'S COURT

Mr. E. Page, S.M., presided at the Magistrate's Court to-day. For using obscene . language. Charles Frederick Brogdeu Hobbs was fined £5, in default fourteen days' imprisonment. He was convicted and discharged for drunkenness. John James Priest was fined £2, in default seven days' imprisonment for a fourth offence of drunkenness. A remand to 7th July was granted in the case of Richard William Lynch, who was charged with stealing two ash-trays and an inkstand valued at £1 10s. Roy James Lambess was remnnded to appear at Feiliding on Friday next on a charge of stealing 9s 6d, the property of Wong Kee. At a sitting of the Mount Cook Police Court this morning, before Mr. T. H. Coltman, J.P., two first offenders for drunkenness were convicted and discharged.
