CHEAP GERMAN RIFLES
TO ENCOURAGE RUSSIAN RIFLE CLUBS.

RIGA, Bth June.
The Soviet has contracted with a German firm for the supply of unlimited quantites of small-calibre rifles for thirty roubles each, to facilitate pri : vato rifle practice throughout Russia. The "Izvestia" declares that it is intended to encourage rifle clubs even more than hitherto, as it is the surest method of militarising the Soviet Union's population.
