FLOOD DAMAGE
SAWMILL BRIDGES CARRIED AWAY.

TATJMARUNUI, 3rd May.
The Pukuwcka Sawmills Company at Manunui lias been forced to abpndon operations owing to the damage caused by the flooding of tho Pungapunga stream. The company's bridges have been carried away. With the destruction of the first bridge all communication with the men operating "ugher up ceased, and the full extent of the damage is not yet known.
