The monthly, meeting of the Haughton Valley Progressive Association was held last night, Mrt Wallis presiding. The membership is" steadily increasing, and it will vbe-necessary to build a hall, very shortly; to cater for the district's needs., Satisfaction was expressed at the recent- visit< of the Mayor, councillors, and staff td rsee for themselves the urgent requirenionts of the district. Mr. iaurenson moved and Mr. Prentice seconded, • that the association . concentrate its energies on a safe bus road and lights for Buckly road ;tncl the path through the Town Bolt. The.Education Departhient,-is to be written to regarding a school sito for the district. The Gas Company ii to be iisked to extend its mains in ths district.
