MAY DAY CELEBBATIONS.

In the Princess Theatre last night (Sunday), a crowded audience attended the May Day celebration held under the auspices of the Wellington Communist group. The following resolution, moved by Mr. E. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. N. Jeffery, Communist organiser .from Australia, was carried:—"That this meeting of New Zealand workers sends fraternal greetings to British miners, and expresses the hope that their heroic struggle will bo crowned with- victory through their own and the solidarity of the entire British working class. Further, wo express pur profound conviction that their example will inspire the workers of all nations to carry on the struggle for emancipation with renewed vigour, and also as a consequence the New Zealand working class will with growing appreciation realise their international obligations and stand by the workers in. the world-wide struggle."
