TENNIS SECTION RESULTS
,r DUNBDIN, 4th April. '" The tennis section of the tournament was continued yesterday afternoon on the local college's courts. The weather was all but perfect for the greater portion of the day, but just before 5 p.m. rain made iurther play impossible. Additional repults were as follows:—
Men's Singles.—L. A. M. Perkins (Victoria) beat J. A. P. Watson (Otago), 0-2, 6-1; V. H. Hubble (Auckland) beat C. J. Hunter (Canteroury), 6-4, 3-6, G-4. Ladies' Singles.—Miss L. Partridge '(Canterbury) beat Miss L. Madeley (Victoria), 6-5, 6-5; Miss 0. Sheppard (Victoria) beat Miss E. Saunders (Canterbury), 6-5, 6-5. Semi-final: Miss Partridge beat Miss Ballantyne, 6-2, 6-1. Men's Doubles.—Turner and Hubble '(Auckland) beat O'Brien and Burns ;VicItoria), 6-2, 6-8, 6-1; Fulton' and Watsons '(Otago) beat Hunter and Robinson (Canterbury), 6-3, 6-3; : Chisholm and M-rcer <Otago) beat Perkins and Paul (Victoria), 6-3, 6-1. Ladies* Doubles.—Misses Witherow and Duthie (Otago) beat Misses Goodwin and 'Metcalfe (Victoria), 6-0, 6-1; Misses Miller and Miller-(Auckland) beat Mi~e<j Sowden and'Ryburn (Canterbury), 6-3, 0-6, 6-1. . Mixed Doubles.—Fulton and Miss Ballantyne (Otago) beat Burns and Miss Madeley (Victoria), 6-1, 6-4; Lougliman and Miss Partridge (Canterbury) beat Hubble and Miss Miller (Auckland), 6-4, 3-6, 6-3; Robinson and Miss Lowden (Canterbury) beat Turner and Miss Miller (Auckland). <4. 3-6. 6-3.
