MB. H. VALDER ASKED TO GIVE

EVIDENCE,

(BT TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOOMNON.) HAMILTON, 22nd January. ' Mr. 11. Valder, of Hamilton, who recently published a memorandum on the crisis in the British coal mining industry, has been invited by_ the leaders of the Labour Co-partnership Association of Great Britain, which is supporting a campaign to inculcate a new spirit in the industry, to give evidence before the Royal Commission on the coal industry. The association feels that its case would be strengthened considerably if it were possible for Mr. Valder to give evidence. Mr. Valder, who intends visiting England, has cabled to ascertain the latest date at which evidence will be taken before the Royal Commission.
