The Wellington General Carriers' Union passed the following resolution at a recent meeting, a cop? of which has been forwarded to the Commissioner of Police:—"At a general meeting of members of the association held on the 15th instant, I was directed to communicate with you regarding the common practice of many people in jumping and hanging on to moving vehicles. Such practice is a dangerous one from the point of view of both the driver and the person jumping or hanging on to the vehicle. My members solicit the assistance of your Department in preventing and discouraging such action, and consider that steps should be taken to introduce legislation to constitute same a legal offence."- " " ■
