PALMERSTON N., This Day. For the third day of the Manawatu Racing Club's Meeting, the weather was dull, the attendance was large, and the course in good order. Results:—
Tiritea Hurdles Handicap, of 200. soys; one mile and three-quarters.— Waioeka Jack, 10.13, 1; Slump, 9.0, 2; Comedy Prince, 9.1, 3. All started. Emperor fell and broke a leg. AVon by five lengths. Time, 3min 12 4-5 sec.
Whitmore Handicap, of 150 boys; seven furlongs.—Blonde, 7.10, 1; Bon March, 7.8, 2; Nine of Spades, 8.2, 3. All started. Won by three-quarters vi a length. Time, lmin 27 2-ssec.
Juvenile Handicap, of 250 soys; five furlongs.—Kilperon, 8.3, 1; Standard, 8.13, 2; Alyson, 8.2, 3. Scratched: Avazone. Won by a nose. Time, lmin 2 2-sscc-
Liverpool Handicap, of 600 soys; nine furlongs.—Grand Knight, 9.4, 1; Tanadees, 8.11, 2; Imperial Spark, 7.8, 3. Scratched: White Comet, Royal Diadem, Birthmark. Won by threequarters of a length. Time, lmin 57 4-ssec.
