At the Police Court to-day, Joseph Kilgour pleaded guilty-to a charge of disposing of two tickets in" a lottery on the New Zealand Cup, started in Sydney. Kilgour had a book of tic]*cts sent, to him, and sold some of them. , Mr. Poynton, S.M.: "This country is simply saturated with lotteries. I received two books myself some time ago, and promptly destroyed- them. I am satisfied the defendent. has been the dupe of the promoters. . Ho will be ordered to pay the costs."
