MARANUI METHODIST CHURCH

The ladies and friends of the Maranui Church have lately .been working strenuously to obtain a new organ, ana last Monday evening the effort was brought to a successful issue, the organ having been secured, and it wai opened at a public dedication service. 'lo celebrate the event Mr. T. Fathers, one of tho founders of the church, performed the opening ceremony,J>eing presented with a golden key, with which he opened the organ for public worship. Mr J. Todd M'Caw, organist of St. Michaels and All Angels Church, Kelburn, gave a short recital, and sacred solos were rendered by Miss Barclay and .Mr. Neil.. All were thoroughly enjoyed by the congregation present. The superintendent of the Kilbirnie Circuit, Rev. E. S, Emniett, M.C., presided at the service, and the Rev. T. H. Burton, minister of the church, also took part. The organ is a "Sherlock Manning," supplied by Messrs. H. Nimmo and Sons, and all present at the service expressed themselves as gratified and pleased with the instrument. ■
