PAREMATA BOATING CLUB

The second annual meeting of the Paremata Boating Club was held at Paremata recently. Mr. J. H. ICinniburgh presided. The annual report and balance-sheet showed the club's position as good. The club's boathouse is expected to be completed before the season opens. The outlook for the coming season is most promising, and an entire new committee has been elected. The club thanks all donors of trophies during the past two seasons, and also the ladies, who had helped the club with its annual picnic and dances. Officers for the coming season were elected as follow .-—Patron, Mr. F. Bradey; vicepatron, Mr. G. Hansford; president, Mr.' W. H. Field, M.P.; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. M. Quirk, J. Webber (Kapiti), H. Brown, A. Brown, W. Bradey, C. Bradey, J. Bradey, H. Barclay, H. France, L. Waddel, C. Lambert, J. Wiffin, J. "Goddard, S. Ivory, G." Groves, G. J. Pearce, Wright, Ryan, Adams, J. Moffatt, R. Lane, F. Sutherland, D. O'Connell, J. Buckland, S. Shearer, A. Barber; commodore, Mr. A. Stirling; vice-commodore, Mr. E. O'Connor; secretary, Mr. B. Fisk; treasurer, Mr. M. Quirk; committee, Messrs. J. Jones, E. Bolland, S. Allen, G. Whiterod, F. M'Keever, F. Bradey (jun.),, A. Smith (chairman); starters and judges, Messrs. N. Fisk, J. H. Kinniburgh; handicapper for the yachts, Mr. A. Shearer; handicappers for the launches, Messrs. A. Sterling and F. Bolland. It was decided to open the season on the 29th November.
