ROSE SHOW TO-MORROW
The annual rose show of the Wellington Horticultural Society will be held in the Town Hall to-morrow. Iu spite of the weather, the roaariana, both professionals and amateurs, report a good showing in their rose gardens, and there is no doubt that the show will be well worth a visit. A number of the latest novelties in the rose world will be shown for the first time. Competition for tho various trophies is sure to be keen. The ladies of the suburban societies arc again providing afternoon tea, and there will be a flower stall for tho sale of prize blooms. It is anticipated that there will be keen competition among the suburban societies for the ''Evening Post" trophy. Tor the K. M. Griffiths trophy, for best exhibit among the suburban rose growers, there is sure to be keen competition. In the pansy classes for the twenty-four blooms, Stewart Dawson's trophy has attracted a large entry of beautiful blooms. For the twelve blooms, tho K. A. Nicol trophy, at present held by Mr. W. Bull, always attracts a number of growers. The Show will be opened by tho Mayor, Mr. C, J. B. Norwood, at 3 o'clock .to-morrow aftornoon.
