WAIMARE CLUB OPENS.

The Waimare Croquet Club, which now possess :s a playing area at Kiddiford Park, Lower Hutt, opened its season on Saturdayj the function taking the form of an '.'at home." The Mayor of Lower Hutt (Mr. W. T. Strand) c jngiv iulated the players on having secured such a pleasantly situated green, and wished them success in the coming season. A number of games was then playc* on the new lawn, which is said to be equal to any in the city.
