QUEEN'S THEATRE.
"Women Who Give" was the title of the feature film introduced' at the head of the new programme at the Queen's Theatre last evening. It is a story of the fishing fleets of the Atlantic seabeard of the United States,; and tells graphically of the hardships of the sailors, . the perils of their work, and of the suffering of the women who wait till the ships come home. Reginald Barker must be given' credit for working out the dramatic situations of the plot in an artistic manner, and for the fine handling of the sea scenes. One battle with the waves in which a ship is wrecked, but the crew saved, makes a profound and lasting impression. There are four players who earn the admiration of the audience—Barbara Bedford, Robert Frazer, Frank Keenan, and Renee Adoree. With this programme the Western serial, which has kept patrons of the theatre on tenterhooks for a considerable time past, comes to a conclusion. Besides a comedy, there is screened the film showing the race for the Melbourne Cup.
