HARMONIC SOCIETY.
On Saturday evening the third subscription concert of the 1925 season of the Harmonic Society will be held in the Concert- Chamber of the Town Hall Under the conductorship of Mr. 11. Temple White, the choir of 60 picked voices, which has earned a splendid reputation for Us. past performances, will' render a miscellaneous programme of part songs, etc., ranging from a sixtoenlh century madrigal "Malon.i, Lovely Maiden " (Orlando Lnssus) to a most modern composition, "News from Whydnh" (Unlfonr fSardlner). The society will hr: assist i-d by Miss M:\vy Shaw, :i roceully arrived vocalist from Knghimi, -.vhn will sing lln- iirin "l!;\lti I'.aiti" from "Don .limn" (Mozart), "S™ Where My Love" (0. A. Lidgpy). and a number I>y I'i'slcy. jMis. Eric Alcier (violinist) "will play "Andaiile from 0 iMinor Concerto (llruch), "Indian Lament" (Dvorak-Kreisler), nnd "Uondino" (I'eelhovcn-Kreisler), and the Hiinnoriic Quartette will contribute llatlon's "Summer live." Mr. Harold Whittle will l)c .-it the piano. The plan is ill The Urialol.
