VISIT OF DR. JOHN MOTT
The Ecv. A. T. Thompson, M.A.,' .1.5.D., general secretary for Australia of the British and Foreign Bible Society, leaves Wellington to-day by the Tahiti for Sydney. Mr. Thompson has been on a brief visit to New Zealand tonuiko arrangements for tho visit of Dr. John E. Mott, president of the International Council of Missions, of tho AVorld Executive of the V.M.C.A. movement, and. tho' World Federation "of Christian Students, under whoso auspices he is 1 visiting both Australia and Now Zealand. Arrangements' have also boon made for a missionary conference- at 'which. the many problems, of the Pacific, including the awakening of the Eastern peoples, Trill be discussed. Duncdin has offered to have the conference held there during the Exhibition period. Dr. Mott is universally known and respected as tho organiser and president of tlio groat missionary conference at Edinburgh in 1010, and his visit is being awaited with considerable interest.
