BLENHEIM, 28th October.

One of the bust boxing contests seen in Marlborough for many years eventuated last night in the professional fifteen-round bout between Dicky Vercoe .(Blenheim), 9st, aud Tommy Griffiths (Duncdin), Bst 101b, for a purse-of £72 10s. The decision vas a draw, after ■ a splendid, clean, open battle. Both men were very fit, and maintained n. great speed throughout. After his defeat by CarlolJ, Vercoe's display caused profound surprise. Griffiths boxed brilliantly, connecting cleanly with his? left hand.
