NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day.

The North Taranaki Hunt Club's Meeting was held to-day in fine weather. There was a largo attendance and the course was in good order. Results:

Lepp6rton Hunters' Hurdles, of 90 soys; one and a quarter miles.—San Fera, 9.0, 1; Hindi, 9.9, 2; Roaming, 10.7, 3. Scratched: Roche, Master Doolan, Rutapiko. Won by two lengths. Patrolett stopped and King Amans lost his rider. Time, 3min 1 l-ssec.

Opunake Hack Scurry, of 65 soys; five furlongs.—Bisox, 9.0, 1; Royal Mint, 9.0, 2; Puawhato, 9.0, 3. Scratched : Resin, Laniwai. Won by two lengths. Time, Imin 4 3-ssec.

Omata Hack Hurdles, of 100 soys; one and a half miles.—White Ranger, 9.9, 1; All Wind. 10.4, 2; Pinna, 10.0, 3. The only starters. Won by. two lengths, with twelve lengths between second and third. Time, 3min lsec.

The officers elected at the annual meeting of the Manawatu Jockey Club were as follow: President, Mr. C. Louisson j vice-presidents, Messrß. R. S. Abraham and J. Goring Johnston; hon. treasurer, Mr. G. C. Keeble; vacancies on committee, Messrs. H.» R. Cooper, L. A. Abraham,- and L. H. Collinson. Pleasure, waa expressed by the return to health after his illness of the secretary (Mr. J. M. Johnston). The annual report made reference to the death of the late Mr. W. F. Massey, stating: "Mr. Massey was a man of sterling qualities, always prepared to do the right and the fair tiling, and though not what might be termed a racing, man, he was always prepared to listen to reason in connection with racing matters." In addition to Star Shell, Sottana, and Diogenes, and Mr. J. M. Cameron's team, two brood mares, owned by Mr. Lan Duncan were shipped from Wellington by the Ulimaroa yesterday for Sydney.
