CIVIL SERVANTS COMPLICATE THE STRIKE

BRISBANE, 28th August. A mass meeting o£ strikers in Brisbane decided to go on with the strike until its objective was achieved. The Government so far has conceded all the men's claims except the right to hold stop-work meetings in working hours, but the men demand a complete surrender by the Govennne.hfc.

Civil servants appear to be bent on aggravating the position, and propose to hold a stop-work meeting to demand the Restoration of the 26jJ- hours' working week, which was recently extended to 39j hours.
