FRENCH CLUB
THE LATE GENERAL TARBAYEFF
The reunion of the Cerele Francais held on Wednesday evening in the Pioneer Club Hall was the first since the death of Major-General Ivan Tarbayeff, a late vice-president of the French Club. Both addresses were listened to with deep interest, sincerest sympathy being felt for the bereaved family, two members o£ which (Madame Tarbayeff and Mrs. 0. H. Benge) are also members of the Cercle. After disposingof the question of changing the reunion nights from Wednesday to Thursday, as requested, various items were given, as follow :—Mrs. Ramsay' (recitation!, Misses Exton, Malfroy, and Ramsay (songs), Mr. Fraser M'Kenzio (piano), and Mr. Balham (monologue), Mile.
