A GENEROUS TRIBUTE

A tribute to the services rendered liy Mr. C. Earle, president of the New Zealand Newspaper Proprietors' Association, to the advancement of the Press was paid by Mr.' J. H. Woods, of the Calgary "Herald," when speaking at tho State luncheon to the Empire Press Union delegates yesterday. Mr. Woods said he knew there were many names, of newspaper men ho could mention, men whom they had met in 1920, and with whom their friendship would never die, yet Micro was not one of them who would be jealous of the inclusion of Mr. Earle's name, because he was a kingpin amongst newsaper men. (Applause.)
