PROTECTION FOR SEAMEN
A question of urgency in regard to tho seamen's strike was asked by 'Air V. Potter (Koskillj. in the House of .Representatives yesterday afternoon. He wanted to know from the Prime Minister whether this Government would follow the precedent rstablish(m! in Australia in giving proUriion U> any British seamen wlio vrerc adhering to their agreement while they were in New Zealand. ''This Government stands for keep-
ing agreements," replied the Prime Minister (the Hon. J. G. Coates). "I will look into the question, and I will give the honourable member a reply in the course of a day or two." '
