SOME DOCUMENT
A slight difference of opinion arose in the House of Eepresentatives yeatorday afternoon as to the title of the Commission which recently inquired into the charges made by Mr. W. D. Lysnar (Gisborne) against the Minister of Agriculture and tho chairman of the Meat Export Control Board concerning the sale of the Poverty Bay Farmers' Meat Works to Vestey Brothers.
The Prime Minister (the Hon. J. G. Ooates) said he had a report of a Commission to lay on the table. Tho document did not state the name of the Commission, but it was what was generally called the Lysnar Commission. Mr. Lysnar: "Tha Vestey Commission." The Leader of the Opposition (Mr. G. W. Forbes) suggested "The Lys-nar-Vestey Commission" as a compromise. Speaking upon the motion to print the'report, Mr. Lysnar said it would be unreasonable to expect the evidence taken by tha Commission to be printed, but he thought the addresses of counsel should be printed. The evidence consisted of 2157 typewritten pages, and there were about 1000 exhibits. Mr. P. Fraser (Wellington Central): "Could we not get a gramophone record of it all?" "I am afraid not," replied Mr. Lysnar.
