MEETING OF BOARD. The Wellington Hospital Board met yesterday afternoon,' Mr. C. M. Luke presiding. Accounts.—Wellington Hospital £14,071 18s 6d, social welfare and Ohiro Homo £880 Is 3d, head office, etc., £365 12s sd; total. £15,307 12s 2d. Members were assured that the body for'the new motor ambulance was being built in Wellington. Hospital statistics showed a total of 440 case 3in hospital for the month of July, as compared with 446 last year. The out-patient department showed 1664 patients, treated, as against 1775 for the previous year. Statistics of the genitourinary department showed a reduction for last year. The Social Welfare Committee's leport showed total cases assisted for five weeks ended 4tb August were 129. The number of employment cases totalled 129, as compared with 124 for the same period last year and 154 the previous year. Cash grants amounted to £215. The Upper Hutt Town Board wrote alleging a breach of faith in the- failure of the Hospital Board to station an ambulance at Upper Hutt. It was pointed out that this was due to a misunderstanding.
