AMERICAN FLEET
THANKS TO WELLINGTON HOSPITAL, Appreciation of the services of the Wellington Hospital to the members . of the American fleet during its recent visit to Wellington was expressed in the following letter addressed to the board's secretary, and placed before the board yesterday afternoon :— U.S.S. Seattle, Wellington, N.Z., 2o?d August, 1925. My Dear Sir, — Will you be kind enough to convey to the board and' the executive officers and 1 the staff of the Wellington Hospital my appreciation and that of the officers of the Wellington detachment of the American fleet for the assistance rendered to them in emergencies during our all too brief stay in the city of Wellington. Eight times you have anBwered emergency calls from our patrol force, and in each case have given prompt and excellent service. We are very grateful. . The city of Wellington is to be congratulated upon such an institution for the welfare of the people. Very sincerely yours, * (Sgd.) R. E. COONTZ, Admiral, U.S. Navy, Commander in Chief United States Fleet. The board decided to .send a letter to 1 Admiral Copntz at Honolulu expressing warm acknowledgment.
