ASSISTED IMMIGRANTS
A party of assisted immigrants, totaling 579, arrived at Wellington this morning from London by the steamer Ilororata, which dropped anchor in the stream at 10 o'clock, and berthed at the Kind's Wharf shortly after noon. They are lor the various pork as follow, mm being mentioned first, then women and children :—Auckland, 64, 56, 75—total 195 j Gisborne, 8, 6, 9—23; Napier, 11, 4, 4—19; New Plymouth, 5, 2, 3—10; Wantramii, 2, 1, 3—6: Wellington, 108, 27, 38—173; Nelson, 2, 2, I—s; Greymou'ih, 2, 2, I—s; West-port, 11. 8, 9— 28; L.vUelton, 20, 15, 7—42; Timarn, 5. 5, 7—17; Dunedui, 12, 11. 15—38; Bluff, 5, .7, 9—21. Totals are : Men 255. women 146, children 178. Those booked for northern Main Trunk stations will leave by the "Limited" this evening. Southern passengers will proceed by the ferry steamer Wahine this fivening, .
