SHIPS OPEN TO PUBLIC

If the people of Wellington do not visit the warships in the harbour it will be their own fault, for the invitation from the officers of the ships could not be more hearty. The motor-boats come to the floating wharf near the Pensylvania, and visitors will be taken out in them to the warships between 1 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. Each ship is anxious to have its full share of the visitors. "Tell them to come right along," said an officer yesterday. "We'll be pleased to see them, and Bhow them round the ship. Let them come any day they like."
