The collapse of an organisation for the repatriation from Poland of persons who choose German citizenship resulted in 8000-people being crowded into an aerodrome at Schneidmuhl, under scandalous conditions. The newspapers point out that the • authorities were aware that the repatriation" must be completed by Ist September, yet nothing was done. Germans from Poland were received as it they were pestering beggars, whereas Poland received the repatriated Poles from Germany with triumphal arches.
