SOUTHLAND ON TOUR
In addition to the players mentioned in the team for to-morrow's match with Wellington, the following are members of the Southland touring team:—J. Richardson, S. Batchelor, C. Mills, H. M'lvor, J. Hatdanc, and G. Oughtoii. The joint managers are Messrs. A. J. Gcddes ami A. 11. CourLis. The team arrived from tho South this morning, and is leaving Wellington on Thursday for Napier to play a match witli Hawkes Day (for the Ranfurly Shield, if the Bay is still in possession) on Saturday npxt. Subsequently tho team will play matches with Matmwulu, Waivnvapa, South Canterbury, and.Otiigo. Richardson, is at present out of action, ,;i cut sustained in the North-South match having become poisoned. He hopes, however, to be able to tako tho field against Hawkes Bay on Saturday. Bell is acting as captain on the field while Richardson is unable to play, and Rice is ' deputy vice-captain. Batchelor and Mills met with injuries in tho match with Canterbury.
