FINANCIAL DEBATE
SEVERAL DAYS YET,' TO RUN,
The Financial Debate seems likely to occupy the House of Representatives for the whole "of the present week, and it may run into the following week. Four days have already been spent in praise and criticism of the Budget presented by the Minister of Finance, and although most points of view have been expressed in that time, many membersstill have a lot to say while they have such wide latitude of speech as is afforded by the Financial Debate. The National Party amendment has been disposed of, and it is expected that the Labour Party, which is making as much use as it can of the debate in view of the proximity of the General Election, will this week introduce a further noconfidence motion. The House resumes at 2.30 p.m. to-morrow.
