EMPRESS THEATRE.

Although the story does not keep closely to that of the immortal "David Copperfield," which is screening at the Empress Theatre, it serves to bring to'the screen those famous characters which have made the book live down the years. The genial but unfortunate Wilkins Micowber, the cringing Uriah Heep, the lovable Aunt Betsy; and Mr. Dick—all are there just as if they had stepped from the pa^es of the book. The cast selected to "interpret the various roles is a strong one. As a second attraction there is shown an amusing newspaper story > "A Front Page Story," in which Buddy Messenger has the main part, that of an enterprising journalist who takes shares in a small-town news-eheet. The supporting films include a Pathe- Gazette, and the Empress Orchestra adds to the pleasure of the entertainment. '
