CORRESPONDENCE WITH
DOMINIONS
INQUIRY AS TO PUBLICATION.

In the House of Commons Mr. J. H. Thomas asked what correspondence had occurred between-His Majesty's Government and the Dominions witii regard to the Security Pact, and whe^jer such correspondence would be published. Mr. Amery replied that Mr. Chamberlain had explained tho position with regard to the Dominions on 24th June, and the Government did not contemplate publishing any of the correspondence at present, beypnd that in the White Paper, the, purport of which had previously been telegraphed to the Dominions. He understood the "White Papier -would be published in extenso in Canada as soon as copies arrived, and in the meanwhile the German Note and the French reply would be laid before the Canadian Parliament. He had not yet learned the views of the other Dominions in regard to the publication of the correspondence.
