During a heavy - thunderstorm last evening, the city and suburbs wore plunged in darkness following a heavy explosion, at, Pyrmonl power house; which wrecked, two 'switchboards' ;uid unused other durnnge. Several electriciI sins were temporarily disabled by shock, but. none were seriously injured.
