I The Lord Mayor has informed the City [Council that he will convene a conferj ence of the unions involved in the shipping trouble, and the owners, with a view to preventing its extension. The j city is in danger of having the electricity supply cut off, as the Electricians'. Union is *a member of the transport group, which is supporting the seamen. SYDNEY, 25th June. While the marine transport group of unions in Sydney is standing behind the Seamen's Union, its decision canot I be given effect to until it i& endorsed by a, meeting: of the Federal group of ' unions, which, will be held in Sydney on !
