The dock was built I:v l'll° Germans for use for naval purposes at Williclmshaven, and was only completed iv the early days of the war The dock has a lifting capacity of 40-000 lons, is 702tt 9in in length, 194 ft in breadth and can dock a ship with a maximum draught of about 36ft.
