SERIOUS ACCIDENT

GISBORNE, This Day. George Priest, a station hand at Tolaga Bay, was riding in a distant part, when his horse slipped on the side of a hill, throwing him heavily and rolling on him before he had time to get clear. He was conveyed two miles on a, stretcher over a. difficult track, and taken to Tolaga_ Bay, where he is reported to be in a serious condition.
