WADESTOWN.
The meeting at Wadestown was presided over by Mr. A. Parlane. About 20 persons attended.
The annual report, of tha committee recorded highly satisfactory results from the year's work. Of 111 pupils presented for promotion only eight failed. In Standard VI., out of twenty proficiency candidates, 18 succeeded and one obtained an endorsed competency pass. _ In addition the pupils had done well in sports. It was decided that in the event of an adequate incidental grant for committees not being provided in future, the committee resign and place the onus of the school upkeep on the Education Board. A motion was carried directing the attention of the City Council to the state of the road in the vicinity of the school. The following committee was elected: —Mrs. Hohbnrg and Messrs. A. Parlano. E. Cook, H. Golding, H. Owen, and E. A. Eees. One vacancy has yet to be filled.
