There are ten nominations for' nine seats on the council. For Power Board representative, J. D. Wilson t(he present chairman) is opposed by Fi G. Bourke.: For the Hospital Board, P. Pike is re-elected unopposed. A proposal to form g, fi* board will also be submitted to the''ratepayers. MASTERTON. 20th April. The ■: following nominations received to-day:—Mayoralty, Thomas Jordan and Alfred Rippon ; council, Thomas Sidney Jenkins, Leslie Beauchamp Maunsell, Hubert H. Daniell. Thomas Dixon, William H. S. Heaps,' William Kemp, Humphrey J. .O'Leary. Henry. M. Peacock, John B. Rue, and David Threadwell. This is one short of those required, aud creates an extraordinary vacancy. Wairarapa Power Board: James C. Cooper and Richard J. *King (reelected). • Wairarapa Hospital Board: Edgar G. Eton, James C. Ewington, Rosabelle Jackson (re-elected). ; NELSON, 20th April. Three nominations have been received for the Mayoralty, W. Lock (the present Mayor), H. CAtman, aid T. H. Forster. For the City Council there are sixteen nominations for nine seats, and for the , Harbour Board five for four seats. For the Hospital Board, G. M. Ront. E. G. E v Trask, H. P. Washbourn. TEMUKA, 20th April. G. Cartwright : was elected Mayor of Temuka to-day, his being the only nomination. There are' twelve candidates for the nine seals on the Borough Council. FEATHERSTON, 20th April. All the civic positions were filled unopposed, as follow:—Mayor, J. W. Card (fifth successive term); council, W. J. Davidson, N. F, Watson, H.-W. Cundy J. W. Milner, C. R. :Skipage, Allen Donald, N. Charles- W. R ; Rene, and H. Buck.
