A paragraph published in "The Post" yesterday stated that the Southland Leaguehad adopted a resolution of protest ag-amst the harnessing of the Bowen Falls Milford Sound, to provide power for the nitrate manufacturing works winch it is proposed to construct there. -Mr. A. L. Hunt writes, stating that-this report was incorrect; the-motion was voted for by only five members, and was defeated lhe original decision of the league, he adds, still stands:—"That this meeting of citizens and members of the Southland League is of the opinion that the proposed nitrate industry will not militate against the attractions of Milford Sound, and that it promises to become a large and prosperous industry to_ the benefit of Southland and the Dominion. 1'
