The University of Paris is installing a generator of unprecedented power, producing a direct current of 600,000 volts for the purpose of creating radio-active rays for the treatment of cancer, and also for experimenting with the breaking up of the gold atom, enabling the absorption of the Alpha- particle, whereby it would be converted into mercury, which then would be re-transmuted into gold. . \
