M +l <■ klll^? 3 Presiden«al address, sari that the Chambers of Commerce recognised that to get the best results under modern conditions they must countenance Labour organisations and work with and not necessarily against them.
We demand," he said, ?'that tli» Government shall promptly enforce compliance with the law. We should by pur daily conduct make clear to all that we stand squarely by our covenants with Labour as well as to Capital." Only thus, he added, could they hope for industrial peace.
