BRANCH AT MAKAIU
A branch of the New Zealand Political Reform League was formed at Makara on Saturday night. The Mak.aru Hall was crowded, and amongst those present were the lieu. W. Mr. Wiight U> address the meeting, referred to Mr. Wrights services as member for the district and said lie could assure Him ,tW Makara, people would solidly support the Reform Party. " ■■ M. r- Wright gave a resume of the work done during last session, and .complimented the electors of Makara on having such a fine organisation. Mr. Field, M.P., also, addressed the meeting. ; \ A resolution was passed expressing recognition of Mr. Massey's services not only to the Dominion, but also to the Empire, and the hope that he may soon be restored to good health. Ihe proceedings were enlivened with elocutionary items and dancing,, and supper was served.
