Whatever may be said of him in singles play, he was a revelation in the final of the doubles championship this morning. His fast service and' terrific smashes from the net and midcourt and wonderf«l accuracy in picking up half and full volleys at the net aroused frequent and enthusiastic applause. Andrews ably seconded his partner, and in service/hard drives from ;the rear 'of . the court, as .well as placing, ■ was a powerful'unit in a'great combination. : "■
