PRODUCERS' LTD

(HI TELEORArn.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, This Day. At tho Supreme Court to-day the hearing was resumed on the flour milling case. Further evideuco was called by tho Crown. Peter Waldemar Eiby, manager of the Timaru Milling Company, stated that his company was a party to the agreement with Distributors, Limitod. Prior to Government control the mill's output was 8000 or 9000 tons per annum. The capacity allotted to tho mill under tho agreemont was 6500 tons—very much less than tho actual capacity. The distribution cost increased as tho result of tho conm.ction with Distributors, Ltd. Before this association tho commisson was two and a half per cent.,and tho discount two and a half por cent.; under the new arrangement the figures were three and a half per ceirt. and two and a half per cent. The f reo market gave better flour, an advantage in prico. If Distributors, Limited, wero abolished, the southern mills would havo some difficulty in selling flour at the same price as the northern mills. Archibald Lindsay, baker, eaid that after Distributors, Ltd., came into existonce he could not get Oamaru flour, which he had previously used. He was always reminded by Distributors, Ltd., that "Snowball" flour was very good, and was advised to give it a trial. Some of it came to him, hut it was no good, and he sent it back. Before the existence of Distributors, Ltd., ho had no trouble in getting the Oamaru flour he wanted.
