Up to 30th June, the total expenditure on Canberra, the Federal capital,' was £2,800,000, of which £752,000 was spent on land. The expenditure on works was nS^ ¥& m The rev«nue received was ±ib0,648. The proposed expenditure for the coming year is £800,000. Nearly twelve hundred workers are now engaged there.
