"UNFIT FOR THEIR JOB"
LONDON, 23rd October. The most striking feature of yesterday's speeches was Mr, Lloyd George's attack on Mr. Baldwin, made at Haverford West, where -he declared;— "The Liberals did not vote in 1923 in order to put Labour in, but in, order to put Mr. Baldwin out. Mr. Baldwin made a mess of every business he had in handr We cleared out the people ■who were • unfit for their job. The Tories ask for support on the ground of _ stable government, but Mr. As~<juith was in for eight years and I was in for six. Mr. Baldwin could not keep himself in for sis months—he just staggered and stumbled and fell.into a ditch." Mr. Lloyd George concluded by advising the' electors to take the middle path between Conservatives and Socialism.
