PINNED UNDER TRAM
BOY'S LEG AMPUTATED.

SYDNEY, 20th October.
A boy of 10 years of, age was knocked down by a tram in Paddihgton, and pinned beneath it. The tram was raised by lifting jacks, but the boy's leg was jammed, and he could not be extricated. Three doctors administered chloroform to the boy beneath the tram and amputated his leg. Ho is now in hospital, and in a serious condition.
