RIOTING IN MANILA

ANTI-CHINESE MOVEMENT.

(Received 21st October, 9 a.m.)

MANILA, 20th October

One Chinese was killed and two policemen and thirteen Chinese seriously wounded, in anti-Chinese rioting at the week-end. Five hundred police and reserves are on duty. The trouble is believed now to be under control. Similar rioting took place on the outskirts of Manila. There are no reports from the provinces.
